About the Opportunity

This role empowers you to drive social inclusion by working with the community to identify needs, foster collaboration, and deliver impactful initiatives. You'll oversee projects, support decision-making, and champion inclusive practices while helping shape a more connected and innovative community.

What you will bring

Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

• A tertiary qualification in a related field such as community development, social sciences, public health or health promotion and demonstrated experience in community development.
• Knowledge and understanding of mental health promotion and prevention.
• Demonstrated experience in co-design, working with community members and leaders to co-create and implement innovative and local solutions in response to community need.
• Experience leading diverse, multi-disciplinary working groups and supervising staff and/or volunteers to deliver collaborative innovative and quality outcomes.
• Well-developed facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one prior to employment.
• Current Drivers Licence.

Salary and conditions

The position is classified within Band 7 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $104,988.52 to $117,480.48 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
