Summary:

Exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced woman or gender diverse person to lead and progress women's health and wellbeing across the northern metro region of Melbourne.

For over 30 years, Women’s Health in the North (WHIN) has worked with unwavering commitment to eliminate gender inequalities and enhance the health, safety and well-being of women and gender diverse people in Melbourne’s north. As the lead women’s health promotion and advocacy organisation for the northern metro region, WHIN recognises that women in our communities are diverse and have a variety of needs, circumstances and aspirations that affect their lives and their health. We are committed to a future that sees equitable distribution of power and resources across all gender groups. We work within an intersectional feminist framework to achieve gender equity.

WHIN is currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated woman or gender diverse person to lead our organisation. With a dedicated Board, a committed team and a proven track record for excellence, the organisation is well positioned to progress its core work across the region. The CEO will provide strategic direction and collaborative, visionary leadership to implement our strategy and ensure achievement of WHIN’s purpose, organisational objectives and financial sustainability.

To be successful in this role you will have at least three years’ experience with a strong record of service development, stakeholder engagement and influence within a health, community or Not for Profit setting.

As a leader you are values driven and outcomes focused with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and have a strong understanding of the role of advocacy in change making. You have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and your natural approach is inspiring, inclusive, respectful and professional.

You are committed to addressing systemic and structural inequalities and bringing a gendered lens to service design across the whole region. You bring a strong commercial and financial acumen to growth and development within the organisation and have a sound understanding of contemporary governance, along with experience working effectively with a Board.
