We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse who has completed a relevant course in Continence Nursing or will to undergo the necessary training to join our committed and dynamic allied health team. 

The position works within the community, supporting people with MS to live the life they want to live and plays a key role in helping our clients to reach for their goals.You will have the knowledge and skills to support, educate and care for our clients improving their quality of life and independence in their own home.

As a Continence Nurse, you will:

  • Have clinical skills in the assessment and management of bladder, bowel and pelvic floor dysfunction.
  • A collaborative approach to working with residents, staff, colleagues and other key stakeholders
  • Knowledge of legislation relevant to the role, including Accreditation    
  • Develop individualised continence management plans based on best practice in collaboration with clients (and/or carers).
  • Monitor and evaluate client outcomes to ensure service delivery reflects community expectations and best meets the needs of the clients
  • Be able to maintain client’s records and ensure adequate and effective service delivery across the allied health team.
  • Ensure that services provided meet the needs and preferences of clients, their families and carers by implementation of quality improvement activities which evaluate the care provided.

About you:

  • Minimum Qualification requirement Registered Nurse (Division 1), with current AHPRA registration
  • Post Graduate qualification in Continence desired or willing to undertake the study
  • Possess or willing to obtain both a NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Check.
  • A valid Driver's Licence and a reliable vehicle.
