MS Plus owns ‘Care For You at Home’, an in-home care business who has been supporting the community of Port Stephens and beyond with high-quality care services in the areas of Community Nursing, Disability and Home Care.

We are expanding our footprint - offering in house Exercise Physiologist / Physiotherapist services to those clients in our care & more broadly.

We are looking for a passionate independent experienced Exercise Physiologist and / or Physiotherapist who enjoys working with clients in a community setting.

What does your role include:

  • Providing instruction to small groups within a brand-new specialised gym/clinic setting
  • Providing one on one exercise sessions and assessments in client's home or in the clinic
  • Work in a multidisciplinary clinic including physiotherapist and occupational therapy
  • Work with people with neurological conditions 
  • Be supported by a Not For Profit organisation that prioritises the wellbeing of their clients
  • Work with a team of home care specialists for aged, veterans and NDIS clients
  • Work within client’s homes & the greater community
  • Provide group training on falls prevention and other wellness and healthy ageing classes and initiatives
  • Work in a consumer directed care model, applying a strengths-based and capacity building approach
  • Promote continuous improvement and best practice
  • Complete comprehensive assessments and identify plans to enhance outcomes related to independence, employment, and wellbeing
  • Deliver high quality services within a range of funding and legislative models including NDIS, Aged Care and Disability Employment Services

We seek a self-motivated individual with:

  • Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) with Exercise and Sports Science Australia
  • Experience in assessments and goal orientated program development/exercise prescription.
  • Experience in providing exercise physiology support to persons with a disability, in particular neurological conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Current Driver License

If successful, you will need to:

  • Complete a NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Working with Childrens Check 
  • Have a valid driver’s licence
  • Complete a National Police Check (and possibly an International Police Check).

We provide evidence-based advice, information, education, employment support, and around the clock support through our residential care services, as well as contributing funds to MS research.
