This is an exciting and rewarding role that will lead and coordinate Council’s kindergarten infrastructure planning process to support the significant amount of early years infrastructure required to be delivered over the coming years.

We are looking for an experienced, Early Years Infrastructure Planner and Project Officer for a 12 month fixed term position, who will have an exciting opportunity to plan for the delivery and activation of early years infrastructure to meet children and family needs as growth and change occurs across the municipality.

The role will manage the critical planning phases, required to effectively deliver a pipeline of early childhood infrastructure to ensure there is sufficient kindergarten capacity to service the Mitchell Shire community.

The Early Years Infrastructure Planner and Project Officer role sits within the Advocacy and Social Planning Team. You will be enthusiastic and open to the opportunities, innovations and challenges of an interface and growth area municipality, working towards creating a healthy, connected and sustainable community.

We are looking for an excellent communicator and collaborator, that has a has a genuine interest to be part of the planning and development of early learning services and infrastructure for positive change. Ability to think creatively, to be flexible, with strong analytical and written skills, stakeholder engagement and partnership skills, work independently and as part of a collaborative team – will enable you to excel in this role.

In this role you will bring and test new thinking, systems and processes to early years community infrastructure planning, delivery, activation, monitoring and evaluation, that will significantly contribute to Councils objective to create environments that supports the health and wellbeing.
