The purpose of a Quality Care Advisory Body is to provide independent feedback to the Board of Directors on the quality of care provided to consumers/participants.

Multicultural Care is a not-for-profit, secular, community organisation, specialising in in-home and community-based support services for elderly people, people who live with disability, and their carers, from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

Multicultural Care's consumers and participants are from many diverse cultures and social backgrounds. Multicultural Care’s primary considerations when providing safe, inclusive, and quality care are ensuring all people are treated with respect and that their privacy, health, wellbeing, and cultural/linguistic needs are addressed.

Skills, Experience and Competencies required to fill this role include:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Nursing/Health discipline.
  • Current AHPRA or professional body registration is highly desirable.
  • Expert knowledge of clinical governance and risk management systems that promote safe, high-quality care and services in home care.
  • Ability to lead advisory body meetings in a manner that encourages participation and information sharing from all advisory body members.
  • Demonstrated capacity to interpret and use clinical data to inform clinical care.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the external environment relevant to in home care and disability sectors
  • Exemplifies personal integrity, credibility, and self-awareness by demonstrating and promoting an environment that reinforces Multicultural Care Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in monitoring, developing, and implementing strategies and systems that ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care and services.

Remuneration: $220 per day sitting fees. This includes preparation for meetings, reviewing minutes and writing the report.
