ABOUT US

Nardine is a women's refuge, set up to support women and their children who are leaving family and domestic violence. Women and children deserve the right to live each day of their lives free from violence; with respect and dignity and be treated ethically.

Many of us, have been affected by FDV, or have family and friends who are or were affected by this. We all come from different backgrounds, have different qualifications, knowledge, skills, and life experiences … we’re all completely different! But the one thing we’re all committed to is creating a safe space for the women and children of our community.

THE POSITION

Nardine is committed to supporting families to thrive, be safe, be successful, healthy physically and mentally and live self-fulfilled lives. Our staff operates along with our team of volunteers who spend some of their time offering our clients their skills, knowledge, support and more. Some of the duties include transporting clients, cleaning rooms, organising donations, playing with children, back-office work etc.

We are looking to fill the following volunteering position:

General volunteering duties mentioned above and an interest in helping with child/adult workshops such as cooking, art and craft or playing with children.

Please contact Nardine if you have and can commit to the following:

  • You are a passionate advocate for women, and women’s rights
  • You can devote some regular time to helping once a week, or at least once a fortnight for a minimum of 6 months.
  • You’ve got a skill set that you can share with our clients and/or their children.
