MWP Community Care, a leading provider of aged care services in Sydney, is seeking a highly motivated individual with proven experience in the aged care sector to join our Board of Directors.

This is a volunteer position that plays a crucial role in guiding the strategic direction of our organisation and ensuring its long-term success in the evolving landscape of aged care.

As a Board Director, you will contribute your expertise to the overall governance of MWP Community Care. You will work collaboratively with other Board members and the Executive team to ensure the provision of high-quality support services to elderly residents, while navigating the complexities of the Australian Government's New Aged Care Act.

key responsibilities

Key responsibilities include providing strategic leadership, contributing to the development of the organisation's strategic plan, overseeing financial performance, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and advocating for the needs of older adults within the community. This role requires a strong understanding of the aged care sector, including the challenges and opportunities within the industry, and a thorough knowledge of the New Aged Care Act.

To qualify, you must possess demonstrated leadership and governance experience, strong business acumen, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Desirable qualifications include completion of a AICD Company Directors Course and a commitment to the mission and values of MWP Community Care. Board Directors can expect to attend monthly Board meetings and participate in other relevant activities as required.
