MyCareSpace supports people living with a disability, by connecting them with disability supports in their local area that meet their individual needs.

You’ll be joining a team of dedicated, energetic people who are motivated by our purpose: to give every Australian living with a disability access to the information and support they need to increase their independence and achieve their life goals.

Your role will be to connect people looking for disability services with providers of disability services in their area and to liaise with both people living with disability and their families and service providers.

You are the ”human face” of our directory and connections service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Speaking with people looking for disability services
  • Connecting them with the right providers that can best meet their needs
  • Completing intake forms and uploading sensitive information
  • Following up with people and service providers
  • Connecting people looking for information with NDIS resources on our website
  • Develop a strong knowledge of our provider partners, the services they offer as well as the locations they service and what makes them unique
  • Draw on your own personal experience of the disability sector to encourage and support our MyCareSpace community and customers

This Role will suit someone who:

  • Is an ex NDIS Support Coordinator or NDIS Local Area Coordinator looking to be part of a like-minded team with a common goal of making an impact.
  • Is energetic, empathetic, and organised.
  • Is service-orientated and enjoys engaging with people.
  • Is self-motivated and happy to work both independently and within a team.
  • Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enjoys research and problem-solving.
  • Having a disability or lived disability experience is preferred.
  • Having knowledge of the NDIS is preferred.

Hours:

This role is full-time as the business is growing rapidly. MyCareSpace is based in Edgecliff Sydney and the role is a mix of in-person for 2 days of the week and remotely the rest of the week. For the right candidate in another state, we may consider 5 days remote.
