About the Role

We’re seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and highly organised Support Coordinator to join our dynamic team. While we specialise in supporting the Deaf community, we also proudly assist individuals with a wide range of disabilities. In this role, you’ll act as a vital connection between participants and the services they need, guiding them through their NDIS plans to achieve their goals. This is also a fantastic opportunity to develop valuable skills for a career in emerging navigation services, helping people confidently navigate the broader support system.

About YOU

To excel in this role, you will need to showcase your ability to meet the following selection criteria:

  • Fluency in Australian Sign Language (Auslan) – essential for engaging with our Deaf community.
  • Qualifications or Experience – Certificate IV (or higher) in Community Services, Mental Health, Counselling or other relevant qualification (Bachelor’s Degree desirable); or substantial experience directly related to the role.
  • Knowledge of the NDIS – a sound understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and its frameworks.
  • Customer Service Excellence – a commitment to delivering a positive, professional experience for all clients.
  • Understanding of Disability Needs – awareness of the unique challenges faced by people with disabilities and their families/carers.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills – strong written, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Organisational Strength – excellent time management skills, with the ability to plan effectively while remaining adaptable to individual participant needs.
  • Problem-Solving Expertise – demonstrated ability to identify barriers, develop solutions, and implement them in collaboration with participants.
  • Technical Proficiency – confidence using Microsoft Office and other essential programs.
  • Record Keeping – experience maintaining accurate, confidential records and program documentation.
  • Results-Oriented – proven ability to meet targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Team and Independent Work – ability to thrive both independently and as a collaborative team member.
  • Driver’s License – a current driver’s license with access to a reliable, personal vehicle.

Job Type:  Part Time with opportunity to grow to full time.
