About the Role

You’ll play a vital role in supporting participants with more complex needs to navigate the NDIS, build capacity, connect with services, and work towards their goals. As a Specialist Support Coordinator, you will:

  • Work alongside Deaf and Hard of Hearing participants, many of whom communicate using Auslan
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with participants, families, and services
  • Address barriers to accessing supports and provide creative, individualised solutions
  • Coordinate complex service environments including mental health, justice, and housing
  • Provide crisis planning, risk management, and advocacy
  • Maintain professional, accurate reporting and documentation in line with NDIS standards

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working as a Specialist Support Coordinator (or similar role)
  • Excellent understanding of the NDIS and relevant legislation
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with participants from the Deaf community
  • Auslan skills or willingness to learn (Deaf applicants encouraged to apply)
  • Degree-qualified in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or a related field
  • Registration with appropriate governing bodies (where applicable)
  • A collaborative, person-centred approach and a values-driven mindset
  • Are fluent in Auslan

Bonus Points If You:

  • Are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or have lived experience of disability
  • Have experience working with Deaf or CALD communities
  • Enjoy remote work and flexible environments
