Our services include NDIS Support Coordination and Social work, Aged care and Veterans Affairs Social Work and Employee Assistance Program.

MyLink is looking for passionate and energetic individuals to join our expanding team of Disability Support workers within the Gold Coast area this includes suburbs from Coolangatta to Pimpama.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance with personal care, including personal hygiene, grooming if required.
• Provide assistance if needed with household tasks, such as meal preparation, cleaning and laundry. Guiding and supporting the individual to learn and do this themselves wherever possible.
• Actively assist people to develop meaningful connections in their community. Aligning with their goals/NDIS plan.
• Providing emotional support for an individual and their families by listening and talking to them.
• Supporting and helping with health care needs, including appointments or administrating medication if qualified.
• Forming strong and trusting relationships with clients.

Must-Haves:

• Certificate III in Individual Support or higher in Disability, Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent if required for specific participants.
• Experience supporting people living with a disability or mental health challenges is highly desirable.
• Experience or qualification in personal care.
• Flexibility in working availability.
• Demonstrated ability to submit notes and reports through online systems.
• Ability to communicate with a diverse selection of individuals both verbally and non-verbally.
• Some level of computer literacy
• A ‘smart’ mobile phone with internet data.
• NDIS Workers Screening Card.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Current Australian QLD Driver’s Licence – classification P2 or Open.
• Own or have access to a suitable car with current registration and comprehensive insurance and third-party property to transport clients.,
• Completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain).
