Join the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO), the national peak body representing 146 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHSs). Our mission is to support the delivery of holistic, community-led health care and drive reforms to improve outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We are seeking a motivated Project Officer to support the delivery of mental health programs across the ACCHO sector, including NACCHO’s suicide prevention program, Culture Care Connect.

In this role, you will:

  • Support program and grant delivery across multiple mental health streams
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide secretariat support and prepare reports, briefings and other key documentation
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of culturally responsive programs
  • Assist with the development of onboarding and training resources

What we’re looking for:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (highly desirable)
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples (highly desirable)
  • Strong communication, writing and organisational skills
  • An interest in mental health, suicide prevention and social and emotional wellbeing

  • ​You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support program delivery across multiple funding streams, including NACCHOs flagship suicide prevention program, Culture Care Connect.
  • ​​You will support grant management processes to improve health and well-being outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • ​​You will also provide secretariat functions and develop correspondence and documentation for the Executive, Board and other stakeholders, including maintaining accurate records of discussions and decisions.
