The National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse & Neglect (NAPCAN) is a national provider in promoting quality child abuse prevention training. We are advocates for changes in policies and strategies that place the wellbeing and safety of children and young people first.

Your Role:

The Marketing and Communications Advisor will set the direction for the marketing and communications function and build NAPCAN’s brand and presence in the prevention of child maltreatment space. Reporting to the CEO this role supports NAPCAN’s business objectives by leveraging the advocacy and training capabilities of NAPCAN by leading the marketing and communications strategy and projects, this role will deliver high quality work focused on results driven outcomes.

Location: Working from home with some travel. Prefer this position to be based in Sydney, however may consider applicants from major cities or territories.

Flexibility: At times this position will be required to work additional days and hours to meet operational requirements such as National Child Protection Week.

Essential Criteria:

  • 5 years experience in a marketing or communications related discipline
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
  • Experience building and delivering complex marketing programs and reporting on the results.
  • Exposure to digital and direct response marketing
  • Strong problem-solving ability, with the ability to balance creative thinking and commercial outcomes
  • An affinity for a metrics-driven, results-driven approach
  • Proactive time management skills, including prioritising workloads for self and projects
  • Balance the need for creativity and innovation
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Exposure to Customer Experience (CX) philosophies
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, work with deliver value to the key stakeholders, both external and internal
  • Familiar with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in marketing, advertising,
  • Advocacy experience within the field.
