The National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) NSW Division is seeking a highly motivated, member focused individual with experience in organising, recruitment and campaigning, preferably also with good digital organising skills, either in a trade union or in social justice organisations. The successful applicant will be committed to building the trade union movement.
The Organiser position is full-time and fixed-term (6-months), available immediately, with an end date of 11 November 2025.
The NTEU is a federally registered union with coverage of academic and general staff in higher education. The NTEU (NSW) is responsible for workers in all NSW universities and their associated student organisations, research institutes and companies.
The successful candidate will be based in Sydney. You will be assigned a mix of duties, including, as part of a team, taking responsibility for the completion of organising, campaigning, and administrative tasks or projects at the Branch level and state-wide, including activities to assist our enterprise bargaining campaigns.
