Senior Climate Change Advisor

Natural Capital Economics

Why us

People join our business because our commitment to making the world a better place resonates with their personal values. We aim to provide inspirational leadership on environmental and social issues.

We are ranked #10 in the Best Places to work Awards and listed as one of 30 Best Places to work for Women and the only professional services (advisory) firm to make the list.

We support an enabling culture that encourages people to develop leadership and we will continually identify and remove the barriers that restrict creativity and freedom of thought.

Growth is not exclusively aligned with wealth creation. Growth of the business ensures ongoing challenges and progression opportunity for our people.

We don’t have layers of hierarchy weighing our staff down or dictate how you would do your job. We give our staff freedom to take the initiative within a supporting environment.

Our business

The Alluvium Group brings together five organisations who are passionate about working on issues of environment and communities.
Our businesses share a collective vision, strategy and a commitment to client service. Our business model is unique and driven by a genuine belief that a focus on technical depth and excellence better serves our clients and the industry.

We work together when it adds value, for instance jointly investing in the Group’s R&D program to give back to the industry and to ensure that the latest science has a path to implementation. We have also created our own Foundation which is a vehicle for the group to work on issues in the wider industry that we believe need focus.

As a group we are committed to an enabling culture which removes barriers to creativity and encourages people to develop as leaders. We have been encouraged flexible work since the creation of Alluvium in 2006 and retain that commitment.

The strength of our group is embedded in the independent business decision making of our company boards and leadership, and the ability of each entity to focus on delivering exceptional work for our clients.

Natural Capital Economics – Part of the Alluvium Group

Natural Capital Economics is part of the employee-owned Alluvium Group.

The Group brings together companies that share a common purpose: to make a positive difference.

Each company has its own specialisation, but we work together when it adds value. We jointly invest in the Group's R&D program to give back to the industry and to ensure that the latest science has a path to implementation, as well as the work of the Alluvium Foundation, which facilitates deep thinking, debate, and action to solve our biggest problems.

The Alluvium group comprises over 170 passionate scientists, planners, engineers, strategists, analysts and economists. We share a collective vision, strategy and a commitment to client service, and the ability to astutely bring in other disciplines to solve complex multi-dimensional problems. Each year, over 30% of our staff participate in Group-funded research activity.

We see climate change as a growth theme for the group and our business strategy is looking to scale our climate services out to new sectors.
