Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.
NBMLHD has an incredible opportunity to work with the ICU Research Team located at Nepean Hospital. This position on offer is for a Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 1 to cover maternity leave in a Temporary Full time role.
This position will see you liaise with principal investigators of research studies involving patients in the ICU, provide extensive review of study feasibility prior to implementation and actively participate in patient recruitment and bedside clinical activities. You will consult with Nurse Managers and Director of Intensive Care Medicine in regard to available logistical support for any proposed study and identify source of funding for any proposed study and provide advice and direction to other members of the research team.
