    • Psychologist: $39.01 – $57.10 per hour
    • Registered Nurse: $36.38 – $51.08 per hour

NBMLHD Community Mental Health offers a range of specialised services for children, young people, families and older people, through our community-based services and health centres. Our multidisciplinary health professionals and case managers take a collaborative approach to mental health care by linking with their patients to work together and consult within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.

Our Lithgow Community Mental Health team is seeking to engage a qualified Mental Health Clinician. In this position, you will provide comprehensive clinical mental health services and care coordination to people with a mental illness or mental disorder to help improve their health, well-being, and quality of life. As the successful incumbent, you will assess, plan, implement, facilitate, and evaluate mental health care in collaboration with individuals, their families and carers, other health care agencies and the multidisciplinary mental health team to achieve quality consumer care outcomes.

Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications in either Social Worker (where degree provides eligibility for membership for Australian Association of Social Workers) - Occupational Therapist and registered with AHPRA - Psychology and registered with AHPRA or Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA registration including completion of a new graduate RN program or 12 months experience working as a Registered Nurse.
  2. Demonstrated skills in mental health and discipline specific assessments and interventions and experience working with people with mental illness.
  3. Demonstrated ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment and understanding of recovery principles in mental health service provision
  4. Demonstrated excellent communication skills including verbal, written, good interpersonal skills and computer competence and literacy.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work in collaborative partnerships with a range of service providers to tailor care plans and enhance the cultural sensitivity of service provision
  6. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal mental health and wellbeing principles and practice improvement
  7. Demonstrated working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 2007
  8. Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
