Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital is an acute hospital that supports a population of approximately 80,000 and is the only ANZAC Memorial hospital remaining in NSW. Easily accessible to Sydney residents, our team of clinicians, allied health, and support staff works with the community on a shared goal to maintain the delivery of high-quality healthcare in the Blue Mountains region.
The Nepean Blue Mountains Speech Pathology Department is seeking an adaptable and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist with an interest in acute hospital and rehabilitation work to join our team in a permanent part-time role for 16hrs per week at Blue Mountains Hospital in Katoomba.
The successful applicant will work in a friendly multidisciplinary team environment providing services to adult patients in general medical and rehabilitation wards at Blue Mountains Hospital. On occasion, this position also provides services to aged care and slow stream rehabilitation patients at Springwood Hospital.
Clinicians have access to regular supervision and professional development opportunities with the Speech Pathology Department at Nepean Hospital. Clinicians with a keen interest in Adult Acute & Rehab services and collaborative teamwork are encouraged to apply.
This role will see you provide Acute & Subacute Speech Pathology services to patients and their families to ensure optimal health outcomes and quality of life and will deliver clinical assessment and intervention as part of a multidisciplinary team. Level 1-2 Speech Pathologists are also responsible for undertaking designated non-clinical tasks to support service delivery including student supervision, quality improvement activities and administrative tasks.
