    • Snr Psychologist - $119,206.00 - $129,171.00 per annum
    • Clinical Psychologist - $109,247.00 - $133,156.00 per annum
    • Nurse Unit Manager Level 2 - $133,112.74 per annum

The Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District Drug and Alcohol Service offers free, non-judgemental services and treatments for drug and/or alcohol use, including information and support for families.

Our service offers specialist drug and alcohol doctors, nurses and allied health staff who respect the client's right to choose from a range of treatments offered with our services underpinned by a philosophy of harm reduction.

The Team Leader Youth Drug & Alcohol Team provides a key role in the front-line operational management and continued development of community-based youth drug and alcohol services across the NBMLHD. This role will include the establishment of new and innovative programs and models of care for youth drug & alcohol services operating within a community setting.

The successful incumbent will provide day to day operational management of staff which includes ensuring clinicians participation in clinical supervision/review sessions. The Team Leader supports the development of referral pathways between the Drug & Alcohol Service and a range of youth service providers across the NBMLHD region.

Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications and professional registration/membership as follows: (a) Occupational Therapy – minimum Bachelor Degrees and general registration with AHPRA; or (b) Social Work – minimum Bachelor Degree and eligibility for membership of AASW; or (C) Senior Psychologist – a four year degree in psychology and general registration with AHPRA; or (d) Clinical/Forensic Psychologist - Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical or Forensic Psychology, full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and endorsement or working towards endorsement as a clinical or forensic psychologist (as appropriate to postgraduate qualification); or (e) Nursing – Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  2. Demonstrated understanding and extensive knowledge of current principles, policies, and practices of health service delivery relevant to the areas of drug & alcohol and youth health
