ABOUT THE ROLE and requirements

NDC are seeking casual support worker staff with experience in disability support care who wish to be a part of a dedicated and collaborative team. The ideal candidate will be mature, experienced, personable and proactive.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Supports or equivalent
  • Current NDIS Worker screening clearance, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement
  • Working with Children Check clearance (WWCC) - or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
  • Full drivers’ license with no restrictions
  • Reliable vehicle and full comprehensive insurance
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Completion of free NDIS training modules prior to commencement
  • Previous job/industry and/or Lived experience that is relevant to the position.

Key duties may include (but are not limited to)

  • Provide client directed support to clients in areas such as personal care, health and well-being, accessing the local community, maintaining or developing independent living skills and implementation of all support plans including Positive Behaviour Support Plans and Health Care Plans
  • Supporting people with daily living skills such domestic duties, budgeting, and transport assistance for community access and appointments
  • Providing meal assistance and meal preparation, working within the Safe Food & Hygiene legislation
  • Utilise individualised communication methods to interact positively with clients
  • Complete administrative work including maintaining client records, writing shift notes and other documentation relating to client support

  • Keep clear professional boundaries
