Position Details

  • Part-Time, Maximum Term Contract until 30 June 2025 (0.5 FTE)
  • Classification: SCHADS Level 3 with a salary range of $73,883-$79,218 per annum pro + Superannuation

Community Rehabilitation Support Workers

The CRSW will work collaboratively with the Coordinator and Senior Practice Leader to deliver group programs within the metropolitan and country area, under the direction of the Service Manager. The CRSW will bring a wide range of knowledge and experience around recovery, wellness and group facilitation to consumers. At times 1:1 individual support (including coaching and possibly outreach) may be provided to consumers focusing on their strengths to achieve their identified goals.

  • Strong self-awareness and reflection to respond in ethical, person-centred, and appropriate ways
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and maintaining respectful and purposeful relationships
  • Ability to map experience/themes to design responses to meet individual and community needs
  • Experience in group facilitation, or participation in wider community groups including the ability to respond to different needs within a group

Peer Support Workers

Peer Support Workers (PSWs) will coordinate, promote, prepare, facilitate, and evaluate a range of group-based psychosocial services through a process of mutual listening, learning, doing, being, belonging, and healing. PSWs create this space by applying the Lived Experience lens as their primary way of working.

What you will bring to the role

  • Personal lived or living experience of mental health challenges, distress, injustice, and journey of wellbeing/healing, and ability to understand, explain, and apply learnings from this as primary knowledge to inform support
  • Understanding of Lived Experience (Peer) principles and the Consumer/Carer movements to ground practice in collective knowledge
  • Ability to adapt communication style to meet the needs of a diverse range of people, and identifies changing needs within a group
  • Strong self-awareness and reflection to respond in ethical, person-centred, and appropriate ways
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and maintaining respectful and purposeful relationships
