- Classification: SCHADS Level 7 with a salary of $111,000 pro rata per annum + Superannuation

About your new role
The exciting new role of Lived Experience Lead - Integrated Supports (LEL-IS) will inspire, and involve others through leading, embedding and elevating the Lived Experience lens in operational practice, strategy, governance, and organisational culture in the Integrated Support stream. This stream delivers diverse specialist services across a range of programs including:
- Centred based primary mental health supports, such as the Southern Wellbeing Hub in SA, Living and Learning Centres in QLD, and Step Thru Care in Geelong
- Residential sub-acute services, such as Step / Up Step Down (4 x WA) and Nundah House in QLD
- Tele and phone-based service navigation and support, such as the Head to Health IAR services (NSW, QT, NT & SA), Hear2Talk (NSW), and Partners in Wellbeing and NDIS Intake (Vic)
Reporting to the Director- Integrated Support, the LEL-IS collaborates closely with the National Lived Experience Lead in the Service Excellence hub and other LEL’s to develop, establish and promote high-quality Lived Experience practice, support, and ways of working within their stream and across the organisation. The LEL models and oversees Lived Experience practice, leadership, and ways of working across the stream to drive understanding, capacity building, quality performance, education, continuous improvement, and cultural change.
As a designated Lived Experience Lead role LEL to apply the Lived Experience lens in all aspects of the role, as named in the National Lived Experience (Peer) Workforce Guidelines:
- Learnings from personal experience of mental health challenges, distress, and periods of healing, which may include service use.
- Collective knowledge of universal lived experiences such as stigma, marginalisation, loss of power, and system hurt, as well as hope, healing, and personal recovery as real.
- Professional principles and values such as mutuality, intersectionality, autonomy, hope and sharing power.
- And the history of the Consumer movement, advocacy, and actions.
What you will bring to the role
- Personal experience of mental health challenges, service use, periods of healing/personal recovery and demonstrated ability to apply learnings from this as primary knowledge.
- Deep understanding of the collective Lived Experience lens, as well as Lived Experience practice approaches.
- Experience in a designated Lived Experience service delivery role.
- Sound knowledge of discipline specific supervision, coaching, and mentoring skills, and/or preparedness to undertake relevant training.
- Demonstrated leadership and/or consultation experience.
- Proven ability in project management, strategic action, and innovative thinking
- Demonstrated experience in internal and external stakeholder engagement, including partnership development.
- High level relational skills and emotional intelligence.
- Sound understanding of mental health systems and Neami’s approach to Lived Experience practice.
- Accomplished communication skills including written reports.
