About the Role

  • Part Time, Permanent (0.7FTE) and Casual roles available, located Strathpine Safe Space
  • Consumer Service Delivery Level 2 with a salary range of $71,215 - $76,353 pro rata per annum + Superannuation or Casual: $36.04 - $38.64 per hour + 25% casual loading

About Strathpine Safe Space

The Strathpine Safe Space is an extension of Neami services and is part of a network of Safe Spaces across the Brisbane North Region that aim to support those individuals experiencing significant mental distress. The Safe Space will provide an inclusive and trauma informed environment, supported by Peer Workers and Clinicians. Neami staff will work within a Collaborative Relation Practise framework, using evidence based and best practice approaches to support guests that visit the service. The Safe Space will operate every day, outside usual office hours and provide a welcoming and compassionate space for those that need immediate emotional support.

About your new role

  • Lived experience of your own mental illness and a rich understanding of your own processes of recovery
  • A willingness to purposefully use your own story to help others further their own understanding of recovery
  • Ability to foster and maintain respectful, professional relationships with consumers, staff and organisations
  • Experience of group work ideally as a facilitator
  • Experience of the public or private mental health system

  • National Criminal History Check (Police check) – disclosable outcomes considered
  • Current Working with Children Check required before commencement of work
  • Current Drivers licence
  • Australian Working Rights
