• Classification: SCHADS Level 4with a salary range of $85,205 - $91,686 per annum + Superannuation

About your new role

The Vocational Specialist will delivery IPS employment supports to adults in partnership with a multidisciplinary team at a new Adult Mental Health Service in Darwin.

Neami National's IPS Employment program supports recovery through open employment. With the support from the Employment Services Manager and the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) team, the Vocational Specialist will work in the context of the IPS model, supporting individuals working toward their individual employment goals. The principles of IPS are competitive employment, integration into mental health team, individual preferences, zero exclusion, rapid-job search, job development, benefits counselling, and time unlimited support.

What you will bring to the role

• Experience working with people and building relationships
• Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and oral
• Previous experience working in mental health setting (desired)
• Previous experience in a related field of work (desired)
• Cert IV Mental Health or equivalent (desired)

What the role requires

• National Criminal History Check (police check) - disclosable outcomes considered
• Current Working with Children Check/Ochre - required before commencement of work
• Current Australian drivers licence and access to a car
• Australian working rights
