The Opportunity: 

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist super star to join our team of professionals to provide OT assessment and intervention to adults, children and young people. This opportunity has a focus on working with adult clients to enable them to participate and perform everyday activities at home, in school and in community environments.

Working within a multidisciplinary environment in the Therapy and Behaviour Support team, this role will provide holistic support to people across the lifespan of their engagement with our services. There is a team focus on building the capacity, skills and knowledge of individuals and families, and mainstream services to ensure the inclusion of all people.

This role is Permanent, Full Time and paid Health Professionals and Support Services Award with the level pending on experience.

Essentials

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Membership with AHPRA as a registered Occupational Therapist
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing OT services to NDIS Participants, including experience of working with adults and children.
  • Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Drivers licence
  • Demonstrated experience prioritising workloads and managing clients with complex needs.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Continuing Professional Development, Evidenced Based Practice, and measuring clinical outcomes.
  • Ability to work as a collaboratively member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality principles and WHS responsibilities.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of diverse cultures and community needs
  • Experience in facilitating training and education to clients, support networks, service providers and/or the community.
  • Demonstrated experience of developing and maintaining partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
