About the Role
The BHOS Case Manager plays a key role in the coordination of person-centred services, programs and activities. The post holder will deliver person centred, trauma-informed and culturally safe case management. 12 month fixed term contract with the possibility of an extension.
Selection Criteria:
- Commitment to the values of Newtown Neighbourhood Centre.
- Extensive experience working with people with complex needs experiencing homelessness.
- Demonstrated high level case management skills in the areas of case planning, case note documentation, case coordination and exit planning.
- Experience negotiating and advocating with relevant government systems including housing, mental health, NDIS, AOD, Centrelink etc.
- Qualifications and/or equivalent experience in the areas of social work, community services, psychology, mental health or other related fields.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cultural safety and systemic racism.
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to manage competing demands.
- Commitment to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- Intermediate computer skills and experience with Microsoft suite.
- A current driver's license and safe driving record.
