The Organisation

Action Speaks Louder (ASL) is an independently funded international campaigning organisation that holds major corporates accountable for their climate promises through effective corporate climate reporting. Successful campaigns result in target companies switching to 100% renewable, wind and solar power and a shift in global supply chains and government climate policy.

Action Speaks Louder has built a diverse global team especially in the Asia Pacific region and has a strong track record of delivering outcomes from the multi-national companies that can have the greatest impact by investing in real climate solutions.

There is a pressing need for a campaign manager to lead a global drive to close major corporate accountability loopholes. Doing so is fundamental to the success of any action on climate.

The Role

This role will develop global strategies and lead efforts to strengthen corporate emissions reporting standards of major international corporations. You will directly engage with corporates and existing networks to track and analyse energy procurement, greenhouse gas emissions reporting regimes, identify major loopholes, and assess their impact on corporate accountability for climate change.

You will work with a large network of diverse partners and identify new partnerships and alliances to develop and implement multi-faceted strategic interventions to empower experts and allies to push for accurate reporting standards.

Skills Required

You are either an experienced campaign strategist, or you have climate reporting, energy procurement or accounting experience from a corporate setting. Ideally you have a strong understanding of energy and climate policy and the drivers and levers of corporate reporting standards.

Your campaign or corporate engagement experience enables you to hold major companies accountable for their climate promises and your work demonstrates you have the credibility and political understanding to campaign successfully for reporting transparency.

You also have:

  • Demonstrated understanding of corporate power and influence building tactics.
  • Strong conceptual thinking skills, highly driven, hands-on execution, keen eye for detail.
  • Effective networking and coordination skills; capacity to build trustful, impactful alliances.
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to coordinate cross functional teams.
  • UNFCCC intergovernmental process and climate change mitigation knowledge - ideal.
