About the Role

Drive impact and innovation as part of the NLC’s Community Planning & Development (CP&D) Program. You'll play a key role in monitoring operations, supporting strategy, and enhancing outcomes using our CP&D Monitoring & Evaluation framework.

In this dynamic role, you’ll:

  • Support strategic planning, governance, and project management.
  • Work closely with Traditional Owner groups to maximise community benefits from land use agreement income.
  • Help shape initiatives that create meaningful, lasting change.

What You Will Bring:

Expertise in community engagement and program evaluation, ensuring smooth planning, data collection, and solid financial oversight. Your ability to resolve conflicts, make strategic decisions, and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders—including communities and government bodies—sets you apart as a key asset for this role.

In Addition to this we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Community Development or a related field or an equivalent level of experience in a comparable position.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working in an Aboriginal and/or international development context, preferably involving capacity building, governance or participatory planning.
  • C Class drivers’ licence.

We offer:

  • A base salary of $98,720 per annum plus 14.5% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900 + Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year.
  • Other benefits under our Enterprise Agreement include:
  • District allowance of up to $4,797 per annum for individuals with dependents and $2,630 without dependents.
  • 5 weeks annual leave, leaving loading, 18 days personal leave;
  • Paid Christmas close down;
  • Upon completion of 12 months of service an Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $2,961
