The Front-End Developer will work closely with the Technical Development team in a dynamic, agile environment to enhance and maintain web applications for stakeholders, including front-line clinicians.

About Us

We are North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN), Victoria's largest independent, locally governed and run, not-for-profit PHN, dedicated to improving primary health care in our community.

What are PHNs?

PHNs have been established with two key objectives:

  • increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of services for community members, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes
  • improving coordination of care to ensure people receive the right care in the right place, at the right time

A typical week may include:

  • Working with stakeholders on change requests including the improving and implementing documents, wireframes and diagrams, particularly for the clinician teams using the system
  • Sharing accountability for the impact on users' workflow, including clinicians of design and implementation.
  • Adhering to existing development and testing processes and practices and contribute to improvements to them including receiving feedback and apply practice to improve professional development

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant on-the-job professional skills and expertise and demonstrated implementation of usable interfaces
  • Demonstrated capability in developing web front-ends, using JavaScript, CSS/SASS, HTML5, Bootstrap, Python, Python web frameworks (e.g. Flask, Bottle, Django), JavaScript web frameworks (e.g. Node.js, React.js, Vue.js)
  • Building effective relationships and working collaboratively with internal and external colleagues, including senior staff to deliver shared outcomes in a complex work environment
  • Excellent time management skills, critical/creative thinking with strong written and verbal skills
