We are North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN), Victoria's largest independent, locally governed and run, not-for-profit PHN, dedicated to improving primary health care in our community.

What are PHNs?

PHNs have been established with two key objectives:

A typical week may include:

  • Collaborating with the service and system design team and an external design partner to develop prototypes, consumer journey maps and other design products
  • Meeting with project teams to track progress against key milestones, manage risks, and ensure alignment with timelines and budget.
  • Leading a team huddle to provide coaching, support professional development, and translate strategic goals into actionable work plans.
  • Preparing a reporting and presenting project updates to senior leadership or an advisory group.
  • Engaging with external stakeholders, including community groups and policy makers, to inform commissioning strategies and foster partnerships for integrated care initiatives.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Understanding of the Australian and Victorian primary health care system, including understanding of stepped care mental health service delivery
  • Experience in the design and implementation of new projects in the healthcare sector
  • Experience in consulting and coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of the role of Primary health networks as commissioners for the delivery of primary health care
  • Demonstrated experience of successfully managing multi-stakeholder projects or programs, including experience working in clinical mental healthcare delivery (desirable)
  • Capacity to work both autonomously and in a team environment with an agile and fast paced mindset to achieve project milestones.

What's in it for you?

  • A friendly and supportive professional environment
  • Career progression opportunities
  • Great work-life balance (Hybrid options to work from home and in office)

Other Benefits:

  • Life Leave - up to 6 days of paid leave a year for cultural celebrations, family events, or your birthday
  • Generous paid parental leave for primary and secondary carers
  • Additional paid leave at Christmas/NY
  • Can apply for additional purchased leave (48/52)
