Fulltime (1.0 FTE), competitive salary depending on experience + super + salary packaging + fixed term position to 30 June 2027 (with possible extension). Based in Mirrabooka, with attendance at outreach locations as required.

Who is Northern Suburbs Community Legal Centre? What makes us different?

We are a not-for-profit community legal centre that aims to provide innovative and dynamic services to enable justice for clients and the community. Our team is made up of solicitors, tenancy advocates, social workers, financial counsellors, financial advocates, older people’s rights advocates, community legal education staff, program support staff and volunteers. Our Women’s Resource and Engagement Network (WREN) program provides wrap-around legal and non-legal services in safe locations to women experiencing domestic violence.

About our Senior Solicitor (WREN) role…

This role will provide comprehensive legal advice, advocacy and court representation to women who have recently experienced family violence or are at risk of family violence, for issues directly related to the family violence that they have experienced, with a focus on family law. Duty lawyer and outreach rosters may also apply.

What an average day might look like…

  • Offering legal advice and assistance to vulnerable clients.
  • Attending court or providing outreach services to our program partners.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders (eg legal, community, corporate, etc.) to achieve effective client outcomes.
  • Represent the NSCLC in internal and external meetings, activities and events.
