An exciting opportunity to be part of our state-of-the art Glenroy Hub Children’s Centre located within the Glenroy Community Hub in Glenroy.

We are seeking applications for qualified Early Childhood Educators to work with us on a fulltime (38 hours per week) basis.

About Northern Schools Early Years Cluster

The Northern Schools Early Years Cluster (NSEYC) is an Early Years Management group that supports 17 Early Childhood services, 15 of which are co-located on school sites. We are proud to have been awarded in two categories in the 2023 Department of Education’s Victorian Early Years Awards. The Ministers award for our Continuity of Early Learning recognised the NSEYC Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) model that supports collaboration between early childhood services and primary schools at every level and provides continuity of learning for children and families as they transition from kindergarten to school. The second award, Improving Access and Participation in Early Learning, recognised NSEYC's commitment to improving access and participation for disadvantaged families and children by fast-tracking 15 hours of funded 3-year-old kindergarten. We now provide 15 hours of funded kindergarten at all of our services for 3 and 4 years old's expanding to our Molesworth Street Kindergarten. Our purpose is to “Love a Life of Learning and Living,” and we aim to set the highest standard of early years education in partnership with local schools and the community. We are committed to maximising outcomes for children in the early years, encouraging opportunities for families to be involved in their child’s early education and promoting professional career support, development and well-being for our educators.

The Opportunity - Be part of something special

We are seeking to employ experienced Early Childhood Educators to work in partnership with the local community as part of our integrated Kindergarten to Grade 6 model. The Children’s Centre team work in collaboration with other Hub partners to ensure that children and families benefit from the full range of opportunities within this innovative and exciting facility – such as library programs, community events, the community garden, health services, and much more. The Hub demonstrates a strong commitment to environmental sustainability, which is evident in all aspects – from the world-leading sustainable design of the building through to the practices of our teams and programs for children and families.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Knowledge of child development and supporting the planning, implementing and evaluating a quality early childhood education program.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and ongoing learning and development.
  • A commitment to inclusion and equity, and cultural competency
  • A commitment to child-safe standards
  • A minimum Certificate III or Diploma of Children's Services

You will have experience as an educator and an understanding of the practice principles of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the National Quality Standards.
