This is a unique opportunity to make a positive difference to the health and wellbeing of people in NSW in an innovative and dynamic policy environment. You will be working on projects that aim to prevent and improve responses to violence, abuse and neglect. This includes implementing a significant reform agenda as part of the NSW Government’s response to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer to join the Program Delivery Office to work in this dynamic portfolio.

The Program Delivery Office in the Government Relations Branch is responsible for delivering key inter-governmental reform projects and cross-portfolio program commitments on behalf of the Ministry of Health. The unit is situated within Government Relations Branch, NSW Ministry of Health.

The position is located in St Leonards, in a modern building with great facilities and includes various types of workspaces, promoting collaboration and activity-based working. Close to public transport, cafés and local amenities.

What you'll be doing

The role will focus on designing and delivering priority projects with a particular focus on prevention and improving responses and services for victims and survivors of sexual abuse and children and young people with problematic or harmful sexual behaviours. You will lead on innovative and evidence informed health focused and inter-agency reform work, including the development, implementation and evaluation of best practice policies, programs and services.
