  2. Strong cross-cultural and interpersonal communication skills;
  3. High level office management and general administration skills;
  4. High level of tact, discretion, diplomacy and confidentiality; and the ability to diffuse contentious situations;
  5. Computer literacy in PCs and networked systems;
  6. High level written and oral communication skills;
  7. The ability to work without supervision;
  8. Ability to carry out research on matters relating to the Member’s electorate duties and responsibilities;
  9. Local knowledge, including the boundaries, geography and demographics of the electorate.
  10. Knowledge of the MLA’s role and function in the Assembly;
  11. Knowledge of the respective roles and functions provided by federal, state/territory and local government agencies;
