About this opportunity:
We are seeking an individual with strong leadership capability to oversee our partnership portfolios across Goulburn Valley Alcohol and Drug Service (GVADS), Muslim Youth and Families (MYAF) and Southeast Catchment alcohol and Drug Service (SECADA).
You will play a key role in the development and maintenance of effective stakeholder relationships and oversees the management and coordination of all team members within the partnership to deliver efficient and effective AOD services.

Duties include but are not limited to…
- Manage operations and staffing of the GVADS, MYAF and SECADA partnerships.
- Drive the growth and development of the various programs and partnerships as appropriate.
- Monitor service performance against individual partnership targets and identify opportunities to develop improved responses to community needs.
- Ensure high quality, evidence-based treatment services are developed, promoted, delivered, and reviewed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Work with the senior management to develop and implement strategic and operational plans, organisation policies and procedures, and ensure they are adhered to.
- Set annual program objectives that are consistent with the organisational direction and ensure that the catchment retains its focus in accordance with the strategic priorities through regular reviews.
- Provide clinical leadership in the provision of Alcohol and Other Drugs treatment.
- Provide leadership in working with the consortia partners, promoting a culture that is consistent with our values.
- Develop and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders.
- In consultation with the finance team prepare draft budgets and budget reports to plan and monitor catchment services expenditure.
- Implement and monitor systems to ensure high quality, consistent clinical practice across service types, locations, and service partners.
- Provide leadership and professional development opportunities and contribute to the work of the staff, flexibly responding to staff needs, and giving and receiving support and constructive feedback
- Monitor administrative processes and client data systems to ensure they meet quality standards

Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you must have…
- Relevant health and or welfare Tertiary Qualification such as Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or Allied Health Sciences.
- Tertiary qualifications in management or a related discipline are preferred.
- Certificate IV in AOD or have completed the required competencies (or able to complete within the first 12 months of employment*).
- Demonstrated experience in a management or leadership position in a health service setting, preferably in the AOD or mental health sector.
- Proven ability to effectively manage and provide professional supervision to multi-disciplinary teams across multiple sites and the ability to develop and maintain a cohesive focus on organisation objectives.
- Proven ability for responsibility of clinical governance and leadership.
- Proven ability to set and achieve objectives and the ability to undertake forward planning and manage planning implementation.
- Demonstrated experience monitoring data and managing resources to deliver on targets/key performance indicators.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with a range of key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, mediate and negotiate (including the ability to resolve conflict and solve problems) with a range of people.
- Proven ability to effectively manage financial resources maximising on opportunities without comprising client care.
- Able to demonstrate high levels of initiative and the ability to work effectively with limited or no direction.
- Demonstrated ability in program development, implementation, management and evaluation and the development of policy.
- Ability to prepare correspondence, written reports, and statistical data within established timeframes.
- Current knowledge of OH&S practices.

*Appendix A (AOD Competencies)
OV requires staff in clinical positions to have the following competencies (or their equivalent). Where people do not already have these competencies, OV will invest in the staff’s professional development by providing them through our registered training organisation (RTO).
The competencies required in the first 12 months of employment are:
- CHCAOD001 – Work in an alcohol and other drugs context
- CHCAOD004 – Assess needs of clients with alcohol and other drugs issues
- CHCAOD006 – Provide interventions for people with alcohol and other drugs issues
- CHCAOD009 – Develop and review individual alcohol and other drugs treatment plans

Mandatory COVID vaccinations
In line with OV's Mandatory Vaccination Policy, all Odyssey Victoria staff are required to hold Fully Vaccinated (Boosted) status, having also received the Booster Vaccination. Evidence of this minimum of three (3) COVID-19 vaccinations will be requested during the onboarding process and offers will be rescinded where such evidence cannot be provided.
