Context & Purpose of Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about social justice and human rights to actively support the CEO in leading business planning and development. You will play a key role in coordinating organisational activities, supporting business planning, taking minutes at major meetings, including Board sessions, and contributing to strategic decision-making. Time Commitment
- 5 to 7 hours a week in total (2 hours face-to-face attendance at Ondru Studio or pop-up office location in CBD on a weeknight)
- Face-to-face attendance at a monthly workshop (5 hours on a weekend)
- A minimum commitment for a period of 6 months
- Must be Melbourne-based to ensure connectivity
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
The position is responsible for:
- Strategic Planning & Development: Assist the CEO in shaping and driving Ondru’s vision through strategic planning and growth initiatives.
- Research & Insights: Conduct research, prepare reports, and create presentations to support informed decision-making and advocacy.
- Meeting Management: Accurately record and distribute minutes for key meetings, including Board meetings, ensuring follow-ups on key actions.
- Operational Support: Manage scheduling, internal communications, and administrative tasks to ensure seamless organisational operations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance communication and coordination on key initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
To be successful in this position it is preferred that you have:
- Tertiary qualification (or studying towards one) in relevant field;
- Open-minded with a willingness to challenge your own thinking and have the ability to adapt and be flexible to the changing needs of the organisation;
- Be committed to working in a team environment while promoting respect, inclusivity and collaboration; and
- Be hard-working, hands on, energetic and vibrant.
