Our remote services are in some of Australia&rsquo;s most hard to reach, underserviced locations. Located in the small coastal community of Wadeye, the Kardu Darrikardu Numida Hostel is a 24/7 operating service.

<h3>What you&rsquo;ll do</h3>
The Boarding Hostel Manager is a critical position for a motivated and experienced individual responsible for the day-to-day operation of a student hostel, providing a safe and culturally appropriate environment for female students in years 7 to 12 attending the nearby school.
The Manager will lead a team to support the physical, emotional and spiritual development of the girls under their care. The Manager will be responsible overseeing the planning and supervision of students including a culturally appropriate after-school recreation program, as well as providing guidance and support to staff.

<li>Operate the Hostel as a 24/7 service</li>
<li>Conduct and oversee community consultation to develop a service model that will reflect the voice and needs of the community</li>
<li>Provide secure accommodation for school aged girls and women and accompanying children from all families/Clans as per service delivery model</li>
<li>Work with Indigenous staff in developing training and/or safety plans for trainees and children returning including, where appropriate, to link with members of the community and organisations that can provide after support to women and children</li>
<li>To be a supportive member of One Tree team based in Wadeye</li>
<li>Work cooperatively and with clear professional boundaries</li>
</ul>
<h3>Selection criteria</h3>
<ul>
<li>Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to ensure information is conveyed clearly and accurately and enable the preparation of accurate, concise documents and reports</li>
<li>Computer skills, use of Excel and Word</li>
<li>Effective administration, time management and organisation skills</li>
<li>Experience in customer service requiring efficient service delivery</li>
<li>Evidence of problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Experience managing a Boarding Facility or similar</li>
<li>Experience working in remote Indigenous communities is desirable</li>
<li>High cultural intelligence</li>
<li>Experience managing, supporting and mentoring a team</li>
</ul>
<h3>Requirements and Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Eligible to work in Australia</li>
<li>A clear NT Working with Children Check</li>
<li>Satisfactory National Police Clearance</li>
<li>Vocational or tertiary qualifications in community services, training and/or Aboriginality</li>
<li>Northern Land Council permit</li>
<li>First Aid &amp; CPR certificates</li>
<li>A valid manual driver&rsquo;s licence</li>
