One Tree Community Services has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Full-Time Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our defence childcare centre in Crib Point, VIC.

This Childcare Service is known for providing early learning opportunities for families with children aged from six weeks old to five years of age. This will be a unique opportunity for you to come on a journey with us and make your mark in our Defence Care Childcare centres making a positive impact on the local community.

One Tree Community Services is a not for profit organisation that supports community services and child care centres throughout Victoria, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia.

Early Childhood Teacher role:

• To design, implement and evaluate programs for children, which meet the Centre Philosophy and Policies, Government Regulations and Quality Assurance Principles;
• To ensure the environment in which children learn and play is clean, hygienic and safe;
• To communicate effectively with children, families and the wider community;
• To work as an effective team member;
• To follow Centre Policy and Government Legislation in providing a safe and hygienic environment for children and staff;
• To participate in the Operational Management of the service where required;
• To provide email and phone support as an ECT to other One Tree Services as required.

Successful applicants will possess:

• Early Childhood Teaching Degree
• A genuine love for and interest in children and a positive can do attitude
• Demonstrated experience in the childcare industry
• Valid WWCC (or ability to obtain)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Victorian Institute of Teaching (or ability to obtain)
• National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
