One Tree not-for-profit Community Services is currently seeking x2 Early Childhood Teachers to join our team at the new Balim Balim Kindergarten at Wunggurrwil Dhurrung Centre.

About Balim Balim Kindergarten:

The Balim Balim Kindergarten, formed in partnership with Wyndham Aboriginal Community Centre and Wyndham City Council, is one of a triad of facilities that form the brand new state of the art Wunggurrwil Dhurrung Centre. These include an Integrated Family Centre (IFC) and a dedicated Aboriginal Community Centre. This is truly an excellent opportunity to develop and showcase your skills while serving in a culturally rich setting. You will be working with an enthusiastic, dedicated team of professionals who are committed to integrated service delivery to improve outcomes for all children and families in the Wyndham Vale area.

Selection Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Early Childhood (or equivalent)
  • Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration card
  • First Aid, Anaphylaxis, Asthma and CPR Certification
  • To work as a part of a team, supporting and contributing to One Tree as a community in line with One Tree’s Philosophy and Code of Ethics
  • To adhere to the service’s policies and procedures and work in accordance with all relevant regulations and the National Quality Framework

  • The ability to implement a pedagogical framework which is culturally and linguistically inclusive which places the needs of the Aboriginal community at its centre while aligning with approved Early Learning and Development Frameworks and the National Quality Standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise effectively with a diverse range of people.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Innovation, creativity and motivation.
  • Professional manner and appearance.
  • The ability to deliver a successful, inclusive, safe and vibrant learning space where children thrive and grow to meet their potential.
  • The ability to build a collaborative learning community and team culture.
