Located in the small coastal community of Wadeye, 420kms from Darwin.   • Permanent Full-time position

You'll make a difference by

  • Provide support and a therapeutic response to women and their families in community affected by domestic, family, and sexual violence
  • Improve safety and identify options to protect future safety and recovery of women in community
  • Address or decrease the effects of trauma and improve emotional and physical health
  • Provide holistic support to family members and children impacted by family violence
  • Build psychosocial capacity in individuals experiencing or at risk of family and domestic violence
  • Support participants to connect with others, focus on their strengths, maintain a healthy lifestyle and engage in healthy relationships

Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Australia
  • Willing to relocate to Wadeye, NT
  • Relevant degree in social work, counselling, community services or similar and experience with Family Domestic Violence is desirable
  • Satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months)
  • Current NT Working with Children Card
  • Current Driver's licence
