The Role:

We are looking for an exceptional Product Management Lead to join our growing Global Product Team. In this role you will have the opportunity to lead a world class Product team and shape the evolution of our leading global solar software product. The role will be based at the OpenSolar office (Broadway). OpenSolar is a BYOD organisation.

What you’ll be doing:

Strategise

• Contribute to defining and shaping the product strategy
• Work with Global Product Lead to translate the product vision into a product roadmap, ensuring the roadmap is aligned with the strategic product vision.

Manage

• Lead the in-country (Australia) Product team members. This includes providing day to day direction, reviewing work products, building a positive team culture and driving individual development.
• Refine and manage the roadmap setting process - implement tools required for roadmap management, ensure the roadmap is maintained and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with software development team to support efficient use of team’s time and on time delivery of products

Do

• Gather user feedback (directly and indirectly via support/sales teams) and synthesise into a clear set of user requirements.
• Design and define features for development based on user feedback and strategic priorities.
• Collaborate closely with product design and software teams to ensure on-time delivery of products satisfying all requirements.

What you’ll need:

• 4+ years of experience in product design or product management, with experience in people management.
• A strong passion for product strategy and design.
• A master of organisation and prioritisation who has the ability to triage multiple initiatives with a strong ability to focus team efforts on tackling the right problems at the right time.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and insight generation skills.
• Ability to document clear user requirements and translate requirements into product design solutions.
• Desire to challenge the status quo and develop innovative solutions.
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Ability to work within a global team and a fast paced environment.
