Fixed Term temporary role to 30 June 2025.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide high-level financial analysis and advice to executive management and staff.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimise resource allocation and financial performance.
  • Oversee and/or conduct in-depth financial analysis and prepare comprehensive reports for budget development, forecasting, and performance evaluation.
  • Lead the development and monitoring of the department's annual budget and forward estimates.
  • Implement robust financial controls and compliance frameworks.
  • Oversee and, where appropriate, manage procurement processes to achieve cost-effective and compliant outcomes.
  • Create a high-performance culture focused on delivering exceptional results, continuous improvement, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
  • Represent the department in high-level negotiations and discussions.
  • Provide expert financial advice and support to stakeholders while fostering strong relationships.

There are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant qualifications in business or finance and/or experience would be highly regarded.
