Oracy Australia is a not-for-profit organisation which promotes and offers assessments in spoken English and oral communication at all levels and for all ages.

The aim of Oracy Australia is to work towards oral education as a central activity whatever the field of study.

Our oral assessments focus on the student as both an effective speaker and active, respectful listener, and the sharing of knowledge and ideas.

We are seeking a new Board Chair who is interested in education and/or community-based activities, is prepared to work collaboratively with other board members to develop and implement the uptake of Oracy’s programs in schools and lead the strategic direction of Oracy Australia in partnership with Oracy stakeholders.

For the position of Board Chair, the Primary function of the Chair position is responsibility for the governance and oversee the management of affairs of Oracy Association Australia. The responsibility is one of stewardship on behalf of the organisation’s members and other stakeholders, ensuring that Oracy Australia Association remain visible and continue to progress as per our vision and mission.

We are open to a variety of interested applicants who can outline the capabilities that can offer to this unique position.
