Orana is a well established service providing crisis, transitional and holistic wrap-around services for women and children who have or who are experiencing family and domestic violence. We have been successful in securing funding from Impact 100 to employ a Program Coordinator to be based at our Supporting Women in the Community Holistically (SWitCH) Outreach Centre in Noranda.
The role of the Program Coordinator will be to plan, develop and facilitate a suite of personal development and educational programs. This will involve collaboration with team members and women with lived experience to evaluate and review current program delivery, identify and research potential new program requirements and co-design, plan and facilitate a stimulating and varied timetable of workshops and information activities. The programs will focus on building capacity, skills, and resilience to support healing after trauma, restore attachments between mothers and their children and develop self-worth and understanding of respectful relationships to break the cycle of intergenerational violence for the future.
We are seeking an energetic and organised individual with a passion to advocate for women and an engaging communication style to drive this project forward.
This is a 3-day (22.5 hours) per week position based at our offices in Noranda. Times may be negotiated, and some availability may be required to work outside of normal business hours.
Being female is a Genuine Occupational Qualification under Section 27 of the Equal Opportunities Act 1984 (WA) and Section 30 (1) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth).
A position description is attached.
