Job/Responsibilities

In this position you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating work activities and programs for Support Workers within a particular disability service including:

  • Supervising a team in the provision of residential care and support (including personal care) and individual support to adults with disability in a community based residential setting
  • Coordinating the staffing arrangements for your team (including rosters and schedules)
  • Ensuring the ongoing development of a strong, effective and collaborative team
  • Planning, implementing and evaluating programs suitable to the individual needs and interest of people with disability
  • Undertaking all required administrative tasks in a timely manner

Skills/Experience

To be successful in this position you will need to have:

  • A Certificate IV in Disability Services or Community Services
  • Experience in a similar role including supervising the delivery of services to people with a disability
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership, staff management and the provision of a safe, supportive and productive team environment
  • Previous experience planning, implementing and evaluating programs suitable to the individual needs and interest of people with disability
  • NDIS Worker Screening Validation (or ability to obtain before starting)
  • A current Class C drivers licence
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • Working With Children Check clearance
  • The ability to satisfactorily complete a Criminal History Check
