Orange Sky is the world's-first free mobile laundry and shower service provided to people experiencing homelessness. We offer a platform for everyday Australians to connect by creating a safe, positive and supportive environment for people who are too often ignored or who feel disconnected from the community.

The Role

Are you a passionate university student studying Marketing, eager to dive into real-world applications of your knowledge in a flexible working environment? Join Orange Sky 4 days per week and become an integral part of our dynamic and experienced marketing team. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate on diverse marketing and communications projects, from crafting compelling copy that resonates with our audiences to actively participating in the execution of strategic campaigns.

Your creativity will shine as you are supported to contribute fresh ideas and innovative approaches to enhance our brand presence and drive meaningful connections. You'll immerse yourself in our mission and brand ethos, ensuring that every piece of content and every marketing tactic reflects our values and effectively reaches our target audiences. As well as taking charge of managing our online communities across various social media platforms. Your goal will be to strengthen engagement and spark conversations with our new audiences who can contribute to our mission.

In a nutshell the Marketing Assistant will be responsible for:

Social media:

• Social media content planning, developing & executing
• Online community management including regular monitoring and developing appropriate responses
• Contribute to monthly insights reporting

Website support and maintenance:

• Updating and building new website pages in Wordpress
• Supporting the team with ongoing website management

Design and creative:

• Manage incoming design requests and support the team to further define and build the brief
• Designing and editing assets in Canva
• Briefing job requests to external graphic designers, photographers, and videographers.

Marketing support:

• Proofing and editing content across various mediums and audiences to ensure content adheres to brand tone of voice
• Managing imagery and videography libraries and naming conventions
• Gathering data across a range of platforms for team analysis and reporting
• Marketing, fundraising and volunteer campaign support
• Coordination of team meetings, agendas and action items
• On-the-ground coordination and support for events, activations, visits and meetings.

• You are a quick learner with the confidence to ask good questions
