The Role

Organic Angels is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced casual Picker / Packing Assistant to join our dedicated & vibrant team. (Experience in organics and food handling will be looked upon favourably however not essential.)

The role will include:

• Accurately picking and packing produce boxes for individual customer orders
• Preparing and completing customer orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule
• Counting & sorting produce
• Cutting & preparing produce
• Weighing produce, to correct quantity and quality
• Perform duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labelling & sorting
• Maintain clean & orderly working environment and follow safety requirements
• Liaising with Manager and Owners
• General warehouse duties and related duties as required

NOTE: This is a fast-paced manual handling role, and it is an inherent requirement of the job that the candidate be physically fit to undertake the tasks required.

About You

As a key member of our team, you will be a confident communicator who has a professional, positive and friendly approach. Experience within hospitality, a food production facility or previous hand packing experience is preferred but not essential.

Work Hours and Remuneration

This is a casual position requiring availability 3 days per week on Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays with flexibility to work extra shifts from time to time. Our packing shifts are Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 1:00pm approx. Hours will vary from 15 – 24 hours per week.

$27.23 per hour

30% staff discount on organic fruit and vegetables to employees.
