Organic Angels is currently seeking candidates with Delivery Driver experience, ideally in the home delivery and/or fresh produce industry. As a Delivery Driver for Organic Angels, you are the friendly face of our business. Not only will you ensure that our delicious organic produce is delivered in a timely manner, but you will also have a vital role in upholding the reputation of the business on the road and developing positive relationships with our customers.

Job Summary

• This is a casual position - rate of pay is $32.06 an hour
• Delivery days are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (leaving your weekends free!) so usually three days a week. Occasional extra shifts on Wednesday or Friday may be offered, to cover for our other drivers as required.
• Start time is between 9am – 11am, and on average you will be driving for 6.5 hours a day, depending on the number of orders and needs of the business.
• Our vehicles are Ford Transit vans (long and short wheelbase). Manual and Automatic (Manual license essential).
• We are based in Epping, across the road from the Melbourne Markets and with easy access to the Hume Freeway & Western Ring Road.

Job Description

Tasks to be performed will include, but not be limited to:

• Loading the van, cross checking the boxes with the delivery list
• Ensuring our boxes and product is handled with care
• Using a delivery driver app to check off deliveries (phone provided)
• Cold item temperature checks throughout the day
• Vehicle inspections and cleaning
• Following instructions carefully on where to leave the customer order if they are not home
• Phone customers if required
• Unload van on return and sort returned boxes
• Parking vans securely on site
• If you are the last driver back, you will be activating the security alarm

You must also be 25 years old or over (for insurance purposes).
