Your new team:

Forming part of the Orygen Specialist Program (OSP), a program of The Royal Melbourne Hospital, the Custodial Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS) team provides specialist youth mental health care in custodial settings (Parkville, Malmsbury and Cherry Creek sites) to young people and their families/carers.

Your new role:

As an integral member of the Custodial FYMHS team, you will ensure administration tasks and duties are carried out efficiently and effectively.

In this role, you will deliver a professional and caring customer-focussed service, involving face-to-face contact as well as contact via emails and telephone. The position will be integral to the overall functioning and delivery of Orygen's Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS) to young people in youth justice custodial precincts.

About You:

  • Demonstrated clerical experience and administrative skills, with a strong ability to prioritise, manage and respond flexibly to a variety of tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, concise written and verbal communication skills (including professional telephone manner)
  • Strong diary and email management skills
  • Demonstrable computer skills with all Microsoft programs, and ability to learn other computer database programs
  • Demonstrated team player with an ability to work as a team member in a multidisciplinary environment, including capacity to respond to staff shortages at any OSP campuses as required.
